Family photos at this beautiful Pacific Northwest spot are some of my favorite to take in the Summer! We’ll take a small trail up to a stunning cliff overlooking Puget Sound to capture your family photos, maternity session, or elopement, wrapping with sunset pictures on the beach. We might even spot some otters!

I definitely lean candid and lifestyle with this location, so planning on walking, snuggling kiddos, and lots of play. Of course I’ll include look-at-the camera photos for your holiday card, or wall prints.

This is one of my favorite beaches in Washington state. I definitely recommend arriving early to enjoy the view, and maybe bring a picnic dinner.

Just North of Whidbey Island, near Deception Pass, you can access this special location via I5 – no ferry needed! But it’s also easily accessible if you live on the island.

Because Rosario is so exposed and open, I highly recommend sunset for the best light. We get magical backlighting, and soft shadows, which are more flattering for your portrait photography.

This location is about 90 minutes from Seattle. I recommend allowing extra time for traffic and, if you’re doing family photos, packing pajamas for the car ride home. It’s definitely worth the drive, and sure to be some of your favorite heirloom photos!

There are some hills to navigate, so please bring appropriate footwear.

This beach is a PNW treasure! Discover Pass required to park.
