March in Seattle means cherry blossoms! The UW Quad is famous for its cherry trees, but has drawn crowds in the hundreds the past few years (not very conducive to a family photo shoot). I prefer to take pictures at the Washington Park Arboretum, especially on weekdays, where we still enjoy the pink blossoms but have more quiet and space for photography.
This family welcomed their third beautiful baby girl this year, and wanted to document a baby milestone with a Spring Mini. We took classic and lifestyle family photos, portraits of each daughter, the kids together, and made sure to get candid pictures of the kids with mom, and dad. My mini sessions are about 20 minutes. New clients can sometimes be dubious that I can get it all in that time, but I’ve been photographing kids for over 20 years and have learned to “shoot at the speed of 2 year old!”. Their gallery had over 50 images to choose from
I offer family mini sessions twice a year: once in Spring for the florals and cherry blossoms, and again in Fall for holiday photos. My Fall holiday minis are offered to return clients first, but anyone can be added to the waitlist. The waitlist gets used every year due to those pesky bugs and colds that go around school! Make sure you’re signed up for my newsletter, or follow my Instagram, to hear when mini dates go live (usually in late June!). To book a regular session, head on over to my online booking page.
