As a Seattle family photographer, snow photo sessions are some of my favorites! In the dark Seattle winter, it’s fun to get up to Snoqualmie Pass where it’s white, bright, and so pretty for family pictures against the winter mountain backdrop. As the snow doesn’t fall until mid to late December, I usually offer snow photography in January and February. If you book, just know we’ll probably dance around the weather and road conditions, so a reschedule is possible. But we flex, stay in touch, and the end result is always so worth it!

For snow sessions, I recommend classic boots and wool coats rather than typical ski/snowboard gear. The colors are more complimentary to skin tones, and the style is timeless and keeps the photos classic and naturally candid. This mom did a stunning job styling her little girls — I was getting the Lion Witch and the Wardrobe vibes!
