Mountain and PNW locations have been very popular for family photos in the past year! I have a couple spots on Snoqualmie Pass I like to shoot, but popular locations like Gold Creek Pond are becoming too busy and prohibitively crowded with Instagrammers and influencers taking them over. It’s really too bad!

Finding new locations to shoot, that are untouched and uncrowded, is really important to me. I continue to scout and search for the next gorgeous location! Golden hour is a must, as sunset light makes the photography 10 times better.

I took my favorite model and explored this area of North Bend, just 40 minutes from Seattle. It’s perfect! It offers river and mountain views, as well as an open field and wispy grasses — perfect for sunset family photo sessions. Better yet, there is very little walking involved, so it’s easy for littles. I won’t be geo-tagging this spot. Only providing location details after booking, so we can keep it as peaceful and preserved as long as we can.
