I was thrilled to photograph my old friend, and talented calligrapher Ellen Sontra of Letters by Ellen (http://www.lettersbyellen.com/). Ellen produces custom calligraphy for weddings, events, business, and other personal projects (i.e. keepsakes for children’s nurseries). She also teaches beginning calligraphy classes and workshops through Paper Delights in Wallingford, and the We Are Social Creative workshops with Amy Vallejo of Anticipate Weddings.

Ellen needed some new headshots, and imagery of her doing her beautiful calligraphy. We used my natural light studio in SODO for some candid working photos, close up imagery, and some candid and relaxed headshots. The entire session was just 30 minutes.
