Baby #3 for this family, and it’s a girl! I’ve had the joy and honor of photographing newborn sessions for each child. Mom and Dad are always so affectionate and laid-back, which aligns with my lifestyle approach to baby photography. I want to capture you as you are, with your newborn, without any fluff or awkward posing. Silly shots welcomed!

I like a few look at the camera poses for the memory, but know you’ll get lots of authentic, connected images too. A mix of both is my jam! I shoot many newborn sessions in home but my SODO studio is available if you need a light bright space for your session. We still keep it fun, natural, and candid!

Of course we’ll get lots of photos of your newborn baby, but I also like professional images of older siblings alone, with Dad and mom, and lots of different combos. The baby is the star of the show, but I still want to deliver a variety of photography in your newborn gallery.

The best way to get kids to smile for photos is to make sure they’re feeling comfortable and safe with me first, then play play play. The more fun we have, the more connected photos we’ll get! Fun makes the best candids.

Whether you choose in home or studio, you can do a few outfits for your newborn photo session. Need a tip? I suggest 1 outfit, 1 swaddled shot, and 1 of baby in diaper so can get their sweet baby skin (these make pretty black and whites too).

If you’re exhausted and emotional with the postpartum hormones, no worries! I’ll walk you through the whole thing. You don’t need to feel “all together” or have everyone behave perfectly to get great newborn photos. Kids can cry, need to break for a change or feeding, or we can stop for a break if you need a breather. It’s a lot to do a shoot after giving birth, but I’m here to make the experience as easy, fun, and stress-free as possible.

Love this family so much! I’ve had the best time at their newborn sessions. Now booking 2026 photo shoots!
