What a fun evening! We shot at the Center for Urban Horticulture, near UW and University Village. One of my favorite spots! There’s a manicured formal garden with fountain, but also a walking trail into wispy grasses and tall trees. Lots of variety for backgrounds, made even prettier by that sunset light and golden hour. My sessions are relaxed and fun. Rather than force poses or direct kids (i.e. sit here, smile at the camera, etc.) I like to prompt. For example, I’ll tell kids to “say boogers as loud as you can!” or “tell mom and dad what you want for your birthday, then yell it at the top of your lungs!”. We play and giggle and have fun, which produces more connected and candid moments. The photos that result show real smiles, genuine laughter, and the favorite parts of your children and family.
