Baby H // 1st Birthday + Cake Smash

So many things I loved about this session! The adorable Henry, for one, but also that beautiful light. Because 90% of my work is babies and young children, I can’t always convince my clients to shoot at the Golden Hour (the hour before sunset) because it’s past bedtimes and we’ll just have cranky kiddos. But if your child does okay at that hour, and you’re willing to shoot late, the light is so worth it. Warm and soft and heaven-sent. Shot at the Seattle Arboretum by the Duck Pond (some feathered friends joined us for the dessert).
